Annual Juneteenth parade
The City of Urbana Public Works Department has approved a Special Event Permit application from The Well Experience: Light & Liberation. On Friday June 19, 2026, portions of streets in the City of Urbana will be closed to accommodate the event.
The parade will begin on East Colorado Avenue and South Philo Road. It will proceed on Colorado Avenue West to South Vine Street, North on South Vine Street to Florida Avenue, East on Florida Avenue to South Philo Road, and conclude on South Philo Road and East Colorado Avenue. Roads will be closed to through traffic from approximately 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
