The Home Repair Grant is available to residents of the City of Urbana who qualify based on income.
Up to $15,000
Only Owner-occupied property (Must be primary residence)
Live in house for a minimum of six (6) months prior to applying
Applicants must be classified as low and moderate income and meet HUD income guidelines. Contact the Grants Management Division for more information.
Applicants are required to have homeowners insurance and property taxes must be paid through the previous year.
Eligible Repairs:
- Roofs - including fascia, soffit, gutters, and downspouts
- Plumbing and electrical issues
- Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Accessibility - including grab bars, walk-in showers, smoke/co detectors, and ramps
