First Call for Help is a program of Family Service of Champaign County that assists residents seeking community resources. They may be reached at 217-352-6300 in the Champaign-Urbana area or 217-893-1530 in Rantoul and Northern Champaign County, through the Community Service Center of Northern Champaign County.
The Self-Help Center is a program of Family Service. It supports self-help groups in Champaign County and surrounding communities in east central Illinois. The Center facilitates the formation of new groups and helps individuals to find appropriate groups for them. The Center increases community awareness of the value of self-help groups and the resources available to support them. The Champaign County Mental Health Board, Carle, and private contributions fund the Self-Help Center.
