Patrol

The Patrol Division serves as the initial responder for all service calls, operating around the clock, seven days a week. This includes tasks such as conducting preliminary investigations of incidents, handling accident investigations, and enforcing traffic regulations. Historically, the division manages approximately 25,000 service calls annually. With a staff of 30 patrol officers, one canine officer, 10 sergeants, and two lieutenants, the division is organized into two teams – blue and gold. Officers and sergeants are assigned to one of three shifts (7 a.m. to 7 p.m., 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.) and follow a rotating 12-hour shift schedule.
