UPTV is the City of Urbana's government access media center. Since 1995, UPTV has provided the Urbana-Champaign area with local programming on community issues and events, and coverage of the Urbana City Council and Board and Commission meetings. Recently, UPTV has transitioned to a focus on government access and phased out local programming due to most content creators moving to online platforms.
Urbana Public Television is available locally on Comcast channels 6 and 1096, i3 Broadband channel 552, AT&T U-Verse channel 99, and streaming worldwide on the web via YouTube.
