During the October 26, 2026, City Council meeting, the following items of business occurred:
Council approved the 10/5/2026 Committee of the Whole meeting minutes.
Under Council Input and Communications, CM Quisenberry expressed appreciation for the recent First Responders Haunted Trail event at Meadowbrook Park.
Council entered closed session, per 5 ILCS 120/2(c)(2), to discuss the topic of collective bargaining negotiations.
During the Consent Agenda, the following items were approved:
- Resolution No. 2026-10-057R regarding a license agreement with Fernie's High Horse to utilize a portion of public property at 124 South Race Street
- Resolution No. 2026-10-058R regarding sponsorship agreements, to distribute TACTIC-SI funding awarded to the Urbana Police Department, with the following organizations: Urbana Neighborhood Connections Center ($10,000); Champaign County Children's Advocacy Center ($10,000); Courage Connection ($10,000); DREAAM ($30,000)
- Resolution No. 2026-10-059R regarding a Class A liquor license for The Cosmo Urbana
