State law requires that the Mayor of the City of Urbana at least annually convene a meeting of the Joint Review Board for the City’s Tax Increment Financing (TIF) Districts.
The joint review board includes a representative from each of the overlapping governments that receive property taxes from an Urbana property owner and one member from the public at large.
The annual meeting is usually held near the middle of December. At that meeting, the board reviews the annual TIF reports, approves minutes of previous meetings, reviews any new TIF legislation, and discusses any new TIF projects and initiatives.
This board meets annually in December. Board meetings are open to the public.
